Jamshedpur : A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an unknown person today at Olidih under Mango Police Station.
According to sources , the girl was playing near her house. Police officials said the girl has been sent to MGM Medical College and Hospital for a medical examination for confirmation of the rape.
The police are also trying to find out whether any one of else was aware about the incident. A police officer said that the case will be investigated thoroughly. The case will be handled with great care.
Cases of rape of minors and molestation of women are on the rise in the steel city. Several cases of heinous crime have been reported for fringe areas especially.
During the past one month, several cases of rape and five cases of molestation have been reported.
