Jamshedpur, Feb. 6: A sit and draw competition was organized in the premises of Excel India Model School on Saturday.
A large number of the students participated in the contest wherein eminent social worker and industrialist Kevar Prasad Rao was the chief guest, while Santosh Kumar of Hurlung panchayat was the guest of honour.
Santosh Kumar inaugurated the competition by making a sketch based on environment. The theme of the contest was environment where students in various age groups made drawings.
The main motive of the contest was to make the students aware about the environment. On the occasion free colour pencils, cakes and chocolates were distributed among the participants.
Apart for the school principal Mamta Kumari, other teachers also helped make the event successful.
