Jamshedpur: It was an emotional day for the Singhbhum Division of the India Post as two dedicated staff members, Umesh Kumar and Mahesh Nayak, retired from government service after a long and commendable tenure. A grand farewell ceremony was organized at the Divisional Office to honour their contributions and legacy within the department.
Tributes from Senior Officials
Udaybhan Singh, Senior Superintendent of Post (Singhbhum Division), presented bouquets to the retiring employees. Singh wished them a healthy and happy future, noting that their dedication to the department would serve as an inspiration for the next generation of postal workers.
Senior Postmaster Sudhir Kumar and Assistant Superintendent Bishwajit Roy also shared their best wishes. They lauded the duo for their “spotless service” and emphasized the pride associated with serving a vital institution like the Department of Posts for such a significant duration.
A Heartfelt Send-off
Colleagues expressed their affection by presenting the retirees with mementos, shawls, and various gifts. Many employees took a trip down memory lane, recalling their shared experiences and praising the simple and helpful nature of both Umesh Ji and Mahesh Ji.
The event was coordinated by Reena Rani Bhakat, while Sunil Kumar Das delivered the formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all officials and staff for making the farewell a memorable occasion.
