Jamshedpur, Aug 31: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has written to the state government demanding a fresh land survey of non-company areas of Jamshedpur.
SCCI president Vijay Anand Moonka and general secretary Manav Kedia jointly said, “We have drawn the attention of the Jharkhand government to the fact that many families have been living in Mango, Jugsalai, Kadma, Baridih, Birsanagar and other non-command areas for the last 100 years for over two to three generations. In many places, lands owned and occupied by such people are shown as ‘Anabad Bihar Sarkar’ since no survey has been conducted for the last 40 to 45 years. As a result, the land owners and house owners cannot sell their property or take loans from banks. Also, they cannot reconstruct their houses. This is also causing loss to the state exchequer. Hence we demand a land survey in non-company areas.”
Chamber has sent copies of the letter to Chief Minister, Jharkhand Chief Secretary, Revenue Minister, Health Minister, MLAs of Jamshedpur East and Jamshedpur West, Kolhan Commissioner and DC of East Singhbhum.
