Silver Jubilee Alumni meet of Patna Women’s College on April 11


Jamshedpur Chapter to celebrate the occasion at CFE

Jamshedpur, April 9: Patna Women’s College Alumni Association, Jamshedpur Chapter is gearing up to celebrate Silver Jubilee on April 11, 2015 at Centre for Excellence. The Association which was founded on 27 October, 1988 by Sister Carol will see whole lots of events being organized including cultural program and a souvenir will be released on the occasion.

Talking at the pre event press conference, Vidya Tiwary, President of Association’s Jamshedpur Chapter said, “Auditorium of CFE will be bustling with activities on April 11 were Shukla Mohanty, pro-vice chancellor of Kolhan University will be the chief guest while Sister Mridula, Principal of Sacred Heart Convent School will be the Guest of Honuor at the event. As an Alumni association we are one of the most active with more than 50 members who are at any point of time dedicated to give their full time”.

Mrs Tiwary further informed, “Main reason behind the formation of the association was to help and give the society what we had learned from Patna Women’s College and others also should be made aware of the values we were taught there”.

Talking about the achievements of the association, Vidya Tiwary said our main motive is Intellectual, Social and Entertainment were we focus on to help the underprivileged students by providing them pencils, books and study materials. We have been active is holding immunization programs, health and eye check up camps along with fair for children. We also organize special programs for deprived children on 15 August, 26 January and 14 November which is celebrated as Children’s Day, she said adding that we have been associated with several societal organizations including AIWC, Seeds, Rotary and Inner Wheels Club to provide all possible help for the society and specially the children who want to study but are left behind due to their financial condition. Devika Singh, PRO of the association said , “Apart from 70 members in Jamshedpur who are working in top positions, several will be travelling from Delhi, Kolkata and other places to join in for the celebration”. During the press meet Juhi Samarpita, Secretary, Deepali Dokania, Treasurer and other members of Patna Women’s College Alumni Association, Jamshedpur Chapter were present.
