Sikh leaders meet State Minority Commission VP

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand State Minority Commission vice president and BJP leader Gurdev Singh Raja on Saturday assured the Sikh community of the city of taking up the issues pertaining to minority schools and other educational institutions with Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

He said he would make sure that the right of appointment of teachers in the minority primary schools remains in the hands of the school management committees.

Raja was speaking during a meeting with a delegation of Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee led by the executive Pradhan Indrajeet Singh. The delegation members demanded autonomy for the minority schools and implementation of district roster system for appointment of teachers in the primary schools.

The delegation members included Satvir Singh Somu, Kulvinder Singh Pannu, Dalvinder Singh, Baljeet Singh, Kulvinder Singh, Hardeep Singh and Gurcharan Singh Billa.
