Jamshedpur, Oct 15: A delegation of the Jamshedpur based Central Gurudwara Management Committee headed by President of Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) Inderjeet Singh and Shailendar Singh today met Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building in Ranchi.
The members of the delegation handed over a charter of demands to Mr Das and urged him to look into the various problems being faced by the Sikh Community.
The delegation submitted a memorandum to the CM & attracted his attention towards some of the problems of the Sikhs.
They requested the CM to send an official recommendation-cum- request letter to the Railways Ministry to run train no. 18103 & 18104 Jallianwalabagh Express daily from Tatanagar to Amritsar.
They also requested the CM to increase the number of pilgrims going to Pakistan from 25 to 200 every year. The CM assured the delegation of all necessary action. The Gurudwara Management Committee also requested the CM to give permanent registration to minority schools, appoint teachers & promote Gurumukhi language in the state. The CM directed the Education Department to act according to the rule.
