Jamshedpur, August 27: Raksha means protection and bandhan means binding or bond.
“Raksha Bandhan” or “Rakhi” is celebrated to reaffirm the affectionate bond between brothers and sisters.
The blooming Sheynites of Pre-Nur, Nursery and Prep. celebrated the festival by putting a sacred tilak on each other�s forehead and the girls tied rakhi on the boys hand.
The little ones tied a Rakhi on the Principal�s hand also, and also put a tilak on his forehead. It was a beautiful sight watching these little kids enjoying the rituals so traditionally and devotionally.
