Seraikela: In a stern move, the Block Education Extension Officer, Dinesh Kumar Dandpat, and Block Program Officer, Rabikant Bhakat, in Seraikela have issued show cause notices to the headmasters in charge of eight schools under the block and the respective cluster resource workers. The notices address the apparent indifference in facilitating registrations for the Guruji Credit Card Scheme.
The schools under scrutiny include Upgraded Middle School Bana, Upgraded Middle School Jordiha, Upgraded Middle School Bhandarisai, Primary School Kushnopur, New Primary School Lowadih, New Primary School Kumdih, New Primary School Nuwaguda, and the associated clusters Sadhan Sevi.
The issued notices highlight a serious concern – not a single student from the feeder area has registered for the Guruji Credit Card Scheme. This, according to officials, reflects a blatant disregard for the students’ interests and a violation of departmental orders and instructions. The officials have expressed worry that the schools’ working style may indicate a lack of beneficiaries availing themselves of the nutritional benefits offered by the Guruji Credit Card Scheme.
The concerned authorities have demanded a certificate within 24 hours from the implicated schools, clearly explaining the absence of any beneficiaries from their feeder areas registering for the Guruji Credit Card Scheme. The notices assert that failure to provide a satisfactory response will lead to informing higher authorities for potential departmental action on the grounds of neglect of duty and disobedience of departmental orders and instructions.
