Shops to be allotted to displaced Golmuri traders, foundation laid

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister�s representative Pawan Agrawal laid the foundation stone for pucca shops that would soon be allotted to the 88 traders displaced recently in Golmuri. Pucca tin shops are being built in Golmuri by the Urban Development Department of the state government at an expense of Rs 25 lakh, said Agrawal.

Addressing a gathering during the foundation laying ceremony, Agrawal said the state government was concerned about the future of the traders displaced during the anti-encroachment campaign of the district administration recently. District BJP has been making sincere efforts to ensure rehabilitation of the displaced traders, said Kumar.

The BJP president said the shops would be allotted to the traders within three months. The shops would have power and water connection along with toilet facility and security, he said.

Among others present during the programme included Sanjeev Kumar, representative of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, Khemlal Choudhary, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Probir Chatterjee Rana and Shamim Ansari.
