Jamshedpur, Feb. 7: Under the aegis of Shree Shyam Pariwar Charitable Trust, Jamshedpur and Sakchi Shiv Mandir the 28th Shyam Mahotsav kicked off at the Shiv Mandir on Tuesday, February 7.
On the first day of the festival on Tuesday, the Shyam Dhwaja Puja was performed in the morning followed by Grand Shoba Yatra taken out from Shiv Mandir premises which traversed through Kalimati Road, Straight Mile Road, Ramleela Maidan, Kasidih before concluding at the mandir premises in the evening.
The main attraction at the Shobha Yatra were tableaux prepared by various mandals. The main attraction of the religious program was decorated darbar of Baba Shyam, Chappan Bhog, Akhand Jyot and Vishal Sankirtan.
During the programme artists Sunil Sharma and Priya presented bhajans where Aryan Dance Group from Kolkata presented bhajans.
Thousands of devotees were part of the celebration on day 1. On the concluding day of the programme on Wednesday, February 8, Prasad will be distributed to the devotees at Jain Bhavan in Sakchi.
