Shivlakhan replaces Rakeshwar Pandey as Tisco Mazdoor Union chief

Jamshedpur, Feb 04: Tisco Mazdoor Union (TMU), at a meeting held at its office in Gamharia decided on Shivlakhan Singh as president. The election was necessitated because of the retirement on January 31 of erstwhile president Rakeshwar Pandey who had helmed the union for eight consecutive years. Shivlakhan was earlier the general secretary of TMU.

Similarly, Navin Kumar Sinha was unanimously elected general secretary. Other office bearers unanimously elected were Gopesh Chandra Srivastav (vice president), Dinesh Upadhyay (joint secretary), Dilip Kumar Mahto (treasurer), Ranjan Kumar, Om Prakash Pathak, Prabhu Karn, Mintu Patro and Kaushal Kumar (executive committee members).

All members lauded Rakeshwar Pandey for guiding the union to a strong pedestal and all present pledged to follow the path shown by him.
