Jamshedpur, July 18: Sheyn International School celebrated Van Mahotsav in the school campus on Thursday. The occasion was graced by Vijay Kumar Singh IAS, Commissioner Kolhan Division and members of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City. Chief Guest Vijay Kumar Singh stressed the need for conservation of water and advised the students, to say no to plastics. Avinash Singh, Chairman of the School in his address pointed out the importance of trees in our lives and the vital role they play in our eco system.

Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City as part of its go green campaign planted saplings. This initiated was led by the club member Jyoti Singh. All the teachers and students of the school were part of the awareness programme on “Save trees and plant more trees”. Nikita Mehta, Secretary, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City stressed the need for protection of trees and assured the support of Rotary Club for this noble cause.
The children presented a colourful programme of slogans, dance and music based on the theme of Van Mahotsav. Satadru Roy, Principal, Sheyn International School gave the vote of thanks. The function ended with playing of National Anthem.
