
Jamshedpur, Aug 9: Friday saw a great deal of excitement in the Sheyn International School as the four houses Unicorn, Pegasus, Griffin and Phoenix got ready for the battle for Inter House Swimming competition. The occasion was graced by Seraikela-Kharsawan DC Anjaneyulu Dodde was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
The Chief Guest in his address praised the efforts of the school in promoting sports which could go a long way in molding the future of the students. Avinash Singh, Chairman of the School in his address confirmed his strong commitment to sports and the overall development of the students.
The occasion was also graced by Sanjay Singh Director, of Sheyn International School. The event was organized and conducted under the active guidance and supervision of Principal Satadru Roy and Vice Principal Pushpa Bhalla of the Institution. The students also put up a cultural presentation adding colour to the day.
Free strokes, breast strokes, butterfly strokes and the relay race were the highlights of the day. The Inter House relay race evoked a lot of cheers from the galleries. Those in anticipation of spectacular races in the Shimmering blue lanes were not disappointed. The stars in the Junior Category were Vanshika Mahato Pegasus House and Shourya Shree of Griffin House. It was a feast to the eyes watching Rahul Das of Pegasus House and Md. Shakir of Griffin House. However the star of the day was the tiny tot of nursery Abhishek Mahato of Phoenix House completing the entire lap flawlessly.
Pegasus House Carried the day winning the overall Sheyn International School Inter House Swimming Championship for the year 2019. Griffin House was declared the runners up. A wonderful day for all Sheynites, the day was brought to close with the distribution of medals and certificates to the winners and the participants.
