Jamshedpur, Aug 30: The meeting of the Shelter Management Committee was organised in the office of Mango Notified Area Committee under the chairmanship of Officer Deepak Sahay. In the meeting, the representative of Sai Beauty and Health Care and Safe Approach, was instructed to put up poster banners at places like bus stand, railway station, chowk intersection etc. for the promotion of shelter homes by distributing pamphlets etc. Instructions were given to give information to the people by spreading the publicity of the house. The officer directed to update all the registers kept in the shelter home.
The official said that the personnel of both the new agencies operating both the shelter homes (Kumkum Basti and Dai Gutu) allotted by the Urban Development and Housing Department, Jharkhand Government, Ranchi, were instructed to provide complete details while giving ID cards.
Instructions were given to rescue people sleeping on the square intersections and footpaths of Mango area and take them to the shelter home. The executive officer said that a vehicle should be arranged to take the shelterless people sleeping on the pavement to the shelter home and reach the shelter home.
Daigutu Shelter Home has been allotted by the department for women, hence instructions were given to shift the urban homeless women living in Chowk Chauraha into the shelter home. Instructions were given to deprive any man from going to the women’s shelter home.
The executive officer directed both the working agencies to follow the guidelines related to social distancing and Covid-19 in the shelter home. The official said that adequate arrangements were made for masks, sanitizers, thermal scanners etc. in both the shelter homes and instructions were given to keep the shelter homes clean and tidy.
