Jamshedpur, August 29: In a major mishap along the mishap prone Seraikela-Kandra Main Road on Sunday, four people died on the spot and eleven people were seriously injured when a Hyva collided against an autorickshaw and car on the state highway near Metalsa Company at Bholadih on Seraikela-Kandra main road.

The collision was so strong that the noise from the mishap could be heard to a large distance leading to large number of people gathered at the spot and started helping the injured. Seeing the crowd and hustle bustle the Hyva (a sort of heavy vehicle used in carrying goods) the highway driver left the vehicle and fled away from the spot to escape being thrashed by the mass.
After getting information about the incident, Seraikela Police reached the spot with the help of local people, all the injured were sent to MGM Hospital for treatment while the bodies of the deceased were sent to Seraikela Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The incident happened around 4 pm on Sunday evening. According to the information received, the auto was going from Kandra towards Seraikela while a car was going behind him. While the Hyva was coming from opposite (Seraikela) direction towards Kandra.
Meanwhile, near the Metalsa company, Hyva hit the autorickshaw from the front and also hit the car coming behind it and hit them badly.

In this horrific accident, four people on the tempo and the car died while eleven other passengers on the tempo were seriously injured. The identity of the injured and the deceased was yet to be ascertained till the filing of this report.
The dead included a five-year-old girl, two children aged eight and ten and a middle-aged man. It is said that there were about 12-13 passengers in the tempo while two persons were in the car. All the injured are being treated at MGM Hospital.

Jharkhand health minister Banna Gupta visited the injured at the MGM Hospital and directed hospital authorities to ensure best of treatment for the injured.
