Shatdal caters to social needs

Jamshedpur, March 31: Shatdal, a women�s organization based at River View Enclave in Telco, is a small group of committed members devoted to amelioration of persisting social ills especially among the economic bottom liners.

As a part of their annual social undertaking, the members of Shatdal organized a fair and the money raised was distributed among various social organizations and institutions. Among the Shatdal beneficiaries were Anurag Foundation, Thalassemia patients, Nav Jagrat Samaj, Pariwar Kalyan Sansthan, Manav Vikas School, Siddheshwar Deaf and Dumb School, National Association for Blind, United Forum for Health and Environment and the Missionaries of Charity run institutions Sishu Bhawan and Nirmal Hriday.

The Shatdal organization comprises Rita Mitra (president), Rashmi Srivastava and Ruma Mukherjee (vice presidents), Bhawana (secretary), Sujata Sahu (joint secretary), Seema Ali 9Treasurer) and Neetu (joint treasurer).
