Sharanjit Kaur of Lions Club of Jamshedpur North awarded Best President

Jamshedpur, June 28: At the 49th Annual Lions District Award Ceremony of District 322 A comprising of sixty six Lions clubs falling under Jharkhand & part of Bihar, outgoing District Governor Rajeev Ranjan felicitated many individual Lion members and Lions Club for their outstanding contribution in social service and dedicated voluntary services rendered during the Lionistic Year 2014 -2015.

The Award Ceremony was held at Hotel Citi Inn, Pardih, Mango and was attended by more than two hundred Lion members.

Best and Outstanding President, Secretary, reasurer of different Lions Clubs falling under three categories as per membership were rewarded.

From Jamshedpur Sharanjit Kaur of Lions Club of Jamshedpur North got the Best President Award.

Sunita Singh of Jamshedpur Steel City and S P Srivastava of Jamshedpur Club were awarded as the Best
Secretary in their respective category.

Region Chairperson Anil Oraon of Lions Club of Noamundi was awarded as Outstanding Region Chairperson while Arup Ghosh of Jamshedpur North and Kunal Shroff of Chaibasa Club were awarded as the Best and Outstanding Zone Chairperson.

This year many lady Lion members did exceptionally well and all were duly recognised. For different Service projects Lions Club of North bagged five, Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar four awards,
Jamshedpur Golmuri, Adityapur Greater and Jamshedpur two awards each while Jamshedpur Steel City and Jamshedpur Centenary got one award each.

For membership growth all out of 26 clubs who were rewarded , six Lions Clubs of Region I, Noamundi, Chaibasa, Adityapur Greater, Jamshedpur Tatanagar, Jamshedpur North and Jamshedpur.

Adityapur Greater Club got award for Best Environment Project, Chaibasa Club for Best Health Project, Jamshedpur Club for Peace Poster Contest, Jamshedpur Golmuri for Best Traffic Awareness, Noamundi
Club for Women’s Vocational Training, Jamshedpur Tatanagar for Best District Governor Visit, Jamshedpur North for Best Vision Care Center, Innovative Project, Reading Action Plan.

Past District Governors Lion A K Srivastava, Sudipto Mukherjee, Nalini Mukherjee, Bishnu Lohia and Rajiw Lochan also graced the award ceremony.

Region Chairpersons, Zone Chairperson, District Chairperson and Club officials garced in large
numbers.
