Shanti Devi nominated member of Social Welfare Board

Jamshedpur: Former BJP Mahila Morcha district president Shanti Devi was nominated as a member of the Social Welfare Board of the state on Saturday. A felicitation ceremony was organized at the BJP office in Sakchi in this connection.

The BJP members presented a bouquet and shawl to the newly appointed Board member. The chief guest of the event was district BJP president Dinesh Kumar. He congratulated Shanti Devi for being elected a Board member. He said she was a social activist with many friends and considerable experience in the field of social welfare.

He said her appointment in the Board would help remove many discrepancies from the organization and the society.

Shanti Devi said she would try her best to discharge her duty with sincerity and hard work. She said she would pay heed to the problems related to poor and underprivileged sections of society.

Among those present during the function included Neeru Singh, Rakesh Singh, Ankit Anand, Amarjeet Singh Raja, Renu Sinha, Sonia Sahu, Neelu Jha, Arvinder Kaur and Vijay Laxmi.
