Ranchi: Shani Mahotsava will be celebrated at the Shani temple situated in Pandra on 9th September. A bhandara will be organized at night for the 130 visually challenged students of St. Mikhail School continuously for eight days. The puja will be organized on the occasion of Bhado Amavasya. It will start at 8 am and continue daylong. The temple will be decorated with flowers and leaves. A large number of devotees are expected to attend the event. As per ritual, the devotees offer among other things mustard oil, black urad, black sesame seeds, iron, black clothes and jaggery.
