Shaheed Diwas observed to honour martyrs in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The District Administration observed Shaheed Diwas (Martyrs’ Day), where a two-minute silence was observed in memory of the fallen heroes. Collectorate Auditorium witnessed a solemn gathering as Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner  Bhagirath Prasad, Special Division Officer, and other district-level officials and employees, paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in India’s freedom struggle.

In his address,  Ananya Mittal emphasized the significance of the day, stating, “This is a day to express our gratitude to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. We must draw inspiration from their ideals and commitment to the unity and integrity of our country.” His words resonated with the attendees, as the nation remembers those who gave everything for India’s freedom.

Following the instructions of the State Government, the day was observed with solemnity across various government offices. A two-minute silence was observed not only in the district-level offices but also in sub-division and block/anchal offices. Educational institutes, including Skill Development Centers and Industrial Training Institutes, organized discussions and speeches focused on promoting national unity.

In a significant show of respect, public undertakings and private companies across the district also participated in the silence, underscoring the nationwide reverence for those who contributed to India’s independence.
