‘Shabeel’ held in Jamshedpur in memory of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji

Jamshedpur:  A ‘Shabeel’ for the free distribution of sweet sherbet was organized at Babu Kunwar Singh Chowk in Jugsalai on the occasion of the martyrdom remembrance of the fifth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj.

The initiative was organized by Parminder Singh Raja with the support of local residents and members of the Sikh community. Along with sweet sherbet, Prasad in the form of black chickpeas was also distributed among passersby and devotees.

Leaders Pay Tribute to Guru Arjan Dev Ji

Several prominent personalities attended the programme, including Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, Jugsalai Municipal Council Vice-Chairperson Archana Dubey, social worker Bade Lal Dubey, Central Gurudwara Committee Chairman Shailendra Singh, and Vice-Chairman Hardeep Singh Bhatia.

The guests paid tribute to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji and distributed Prasad to the public. Speakers highlighted Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s supreme sacrifice and his message of humanity, compassion, and social service.

Appeal for Daily ‘Shabeels’ Amid Severe Heat

Addressing the gathering, Central Gurudwara Committee Chairman Shailendra Singh appealed to all Gurudwara management committees, youth organizations, social institutions, and the Sikh Sangat of Jamshedpur to organize daily ‘Shabeels’ across the city to combat the ongoing heatwave. He stated that providing cold sweet sherbet and drinking water to the public during extreme summer conditions offers a noble form of humanitarian service.
