Seven-day Bhagwat Katha begins at Satyanarayan Mandir

Jamshedpur, August 22: Srimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya held on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami began at Satyanarayan Marwari Mandir in Bistupur on Monday, August 22.

The seven-day religious programme will continue till Sunday, August 28. Mathura resident Himanshu Maharaj will perform the rituals daily at 3.30 pm and will narrate about Lord Krishna to the devotees.

On the first day of the bhagwat katha, Himanshu Maharaj held discourse on epilogue of bhagwat informing the devotees about how one should lead a peaceful life. For the human development, bhagwat orders how one should move from Darkness of ignorance to Wisdom-light.

Later Himanshu Maharaj told about 24 incarnation of Lord Narayan Bishnu. Maharaj also spoke about the birth story of Sukhdev who was incarnation of Lord Shankar which summarizes that love is god.

Earlier in the day, after the performing of the rituals kalash was installed and Shobha yatra was taken out with pomp from Satyanarayan Marwari Mandir which traversed through Bistupur main road before culminating at mandir premises.

During the Shibha yatra devotees worshipped bhagwat at various places. The incessant rain also coundent dampen the spirits as devotees in large numbers participated.

Hosts of the Shobha yatra were Omprakash Moonka, Umesh Sanghi, Omprakash Gupta and Ravi Bhautika. On the occasion mandir committee president Subhash Moonka, secretary Suresh Agiwal, Ashok Kumar Naredi, Mahaveer Nagelia, Kunjbihari Nagelia, Santosh Sanghi, Hari Sonthalia, Babulal Sonthalia, Satyanarayan Naredi, Omprakash Sanghi and others were present.
