Jamshedpur: Police arrested seven thieves from Potka and Kovali police station area. They also confiscated stolen batteries from the possession of the accused persons. Three of the thieves were arrested in Potka while the others were caught in Kovali.
According to police, three thieves were caught red-handed stealing batteries from a tractor by the villagers in Potka. Before the three could escape, they were caught by the villagers. Two of them were identified as Kedar Chakia and Gurba Gagrai.
In Kovali, police arrested four persons, identified as Gaurav Kumar Singh, Sanjay Kevat, Pawan Das and Ansu Kevat. The four were riding two bikes. They were also carrying two stolen batteries. They are residents of Gadra, Parsudih.
