Jamshedpur: Under the first phase of the state government’s flagship outreach initiative, “Aapki Yojana–Aapki Sarkar–Aapke Dwar”, the East Singhbhum district administration has launched the ‘Seva Ka Adhikar Saptah’, to be observed from 21 to 28 November. The week-long campaign aims to ensure timely delivery of public services under the Jharkhand Guaranteed Delivery of Services Act, 2011.
Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi flagged off ten awareness vehicles from the Collectorate premises on Thursday. These vehicles will traverse across the district, informing citizens about the provisions of the Act, available services, and the procedures for availing them.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the theme of this year’s programme is the Jharkhand Guaranteed Delivery of Services Act, 2011, and added that the administration is committed to ensuring time-bound disposal of all applications received under the Act. He directed district-level officers to ensure that applications submitted at the panchayat-level camps are addressed promptly so that every eligible citizen receives the intended benefits without delay.
Satyarthi further stated that the purpose of the ‘Seva Ka Adhikar Saptah’ is to raise awareness among the public about their rights, the timeline of essential services, and the available grievance redressal mechanisms. “The goal is to ensure that every citizen can access government services without obstacles,” he said.
As part of the campaign, priority is being given to key service areas including caste certificates, local resident certificates, income certificates, birth and death certificates, new ration cards, mutation cases, land measurement, and land holding certificates.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to all residents to visit the nearest camps and avail the designated services in a timely manner.
