Ranchi: Directing all the ADCs, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma here on Saturday said that the funds against land acquisition should be distributed at the earliest and raiyats whose compensation fund was ready should be paid. She made the announcement while reviewing Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department.
Verma said that in order to complete the Central government projects and ring road projects, compensation should be given to the raiyats against acquired land at the earliest.
If facing any problem in distributing the funds, the officials concerned should coordinate with the department and DCs and ensure that the work is done. She also asked the officials to fulfill the demand for land and the districts where it has not been done should act fast so that the scheme may be completed.
The department authorities said that out of 446 land related demands, 228 have been completed. The CS also directed the officials to prepare a proposal to give land to the landless. Proposal is being made for the settlement of approximately three lakh acres of land so that the landless can be given land.
Revenue Secretary K. K. Soan, Revenue Director Rajiv Ranjan and other officers were present at the meeting.
