Seraikela SP holds crime meeting ahead of Panchayat polls

Jamshedpur, April 15: Superintendent of Police (SP), Seraikela-Kharsawan, Anand Prakash, convened a meeting with his subordinates at the district police office on Friday. He directed all officers to take measures to tighten noose around the criminals.

The SP directed the officials to detect pending cases and arrest old warrantees. He also ordered action against addiction and directed the officers to be alert in view of the upcoming Panchayat elections.

The SP said security would be beefed up in view of the guidelines issued in this regard by the Election Commission of India. He said special vigil should be kept around all police station areas and criminal elements should be dealt with strictly.

The SP said night patrol should be intensified to ensure effective policing. He directed cops to behave politely with those visiting the police stations.

SP Operations Purushottam Kumar, SDPO Seraikela Harvinder Singh and SDPO Chandil Sanjay Kumar Singh were also present at the meeting.
