Seraikela, Sep 23: Seraikela-Kharsawan and three other districts of Jharkhand will soon get Ayush Hospital. The four districts will soon get a 10 bed hospital with indoor medical facilities, sources said.
The other districts are Dumka, Latehar and Gumla.
As per the letter written by the Director of Ayush department, “For the first time, it is going to be possible to admit and treat patients as per the Ayush system of medicine without any side effect at Ayush Hospitals.”
Sources said the Ayush department Director has written to the state government in this regard and requested the authorities to identify land for construction of Ayush Hospital.
District Ayush Medical Officer Dr Vipin Chandra Gupta, “This is the first time when the government is going to provide indoor medical facilities under Ayush system of medicines. Earlier, as a matter of practice, patients were examined and treated in the OPD. Now needy patients would be provided both outdoor and indoor medical facilities as per necessity. For this purpose, a 10 bed hospital is to be built. Letters have been sent to the Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration for land demarcation for the project, sources said.
Dr Gupta said the proposed Ayush Hospital would be built on a 25 dismil plot. Six dispensaries of the district would also get their own building in Icha, Jordiha, Burudih, Kharsawan, Tiruldih and Janum.
