Seraikela-Kharsawan celebrates Establishment Day with fervour

Seraikela: A prabhat pheri (morning procession) was taken out by school children of Seraikela-Kharsawan on Tuesday on the occasion of Jharkhand�s foundation day anniversary.

It started at the Seraikela sub divisional office and culminated at Birsa Munda Stadium. A function cum exhibition was organized at the stadium. It was jointly inaugurated by the Ichagarh MLA Sadhu Charan Mahato and the deputy commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan K Srinivasan.

The MLA and the DC went to different stalls at the venue and were impressed by the excellent handicrafts and other products created by local women and artisans.

The legislator along with the DC and the DDC of Seraikela-Kharsawan distributed appointment letters to the newly recruited accountant-cum-computer operators and junior engineers on behalf of the Panchayati Raj department.

The guests as well as the visitors appreciated the exhibition and the work of local artisans. A football match was also organized for school children.

Earlier in the day, the guests and administration officials garlanded the statues of great personalities. A nukkad natak was also organized besides distribution of assets.

A cultural programme was later held in the evening at the Town Hall in Seraikela.
