Seraikela-Kharsawan administration reviews preparedness for festivals

Seraikela, Sept 8: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration has warned trouble-mongers and anti-social elements against any misadventure during festivals.

Addressing a meeting of district level peace committee, Deputy Commissioner A Dodde Sunday said the district administration had made elaborate security arrangements for Muharram and Karma. He said the contribution of one and all was needed to ensure peace during the festivals. He appealed to all peace committee members and other citizens to cooperate with the district administration in peaceful celebration of festivals ahead.

Dodde said the peace committee members should identify trouble-mongers and give their names to the local police station for necessary preventive action. He said sharp weapons and fire should not be used during processions and an instruction had been issued by the district administration to all police stations in this regard.

The DC said DJs will not be allowed to play loud music during the procession. He said the processions should be taken out through the pre-fixed routes. He said stringent action would be taken against those found spreading rumours either verbally or through social media.

SP Seraikela-Kharsawan Karthik S said the citizens should inform police through Shakti App for any help. He said no loophole will be allowed to mar the celebrations.
