Seraikela haat devoid of cleanliness

Seraikela: Seraikela weekly haat premises has turned into a virtual hellhole these days as a result of lack of care and maintenance by members of Krishi Bazaar Samiti.

Notwithstanding the revenue earned by the authorities concerned through bandobasti of the shops at the haat, there is an acute lack of cleanliness and civic amenities here.

There are big potholes on the premises. Entering the haat gives a chaotic first impression of the place with garbage and disorder everywhere.

Many traders put their commodities on the roadside itself, snubbing the need for discipline and cleanliness. Also there is no public toilet here.

Women and children are the worst sufferers due to this lack of facility. A major part of the market shed is still under construction. This is another source of problem for the traders and visitors coming here.
