Seraikela DC, SP aim to develop Nawadih Anganwadi into a model center

Seraikela, June 19: District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Arwa Rajkamal and Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash conducted an inspection of the Nawadih Anganwadi Center in the Seraikela block. The purpose of the visit was to assess the center’s operations and discuss the importance of nutritious food and quality pre-education for the attending children.

During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Rajkamal engaged in a friendly conversation with the children, learning their names and interests. She emphasized the significance of a balanced diet by instructing the attendants and helpers to provide nutritious food as per the prescribed chart. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of a quality pre-education for the children attending the center.

As part of the interaction, Deputy Commissioner Rajkamal distributed food items and fruits among the children, encouraging them to attend the center regularly and focus on their studies. She highlighted that the senior officers of the district are inspecting various Anganwadi centers to identify those in need of development.

Expressing her satisfaction, Deputy Commissioner Rajkamal declared that the Nawadih Anganwadi center inspected during the visit would be developed as a model center. She lauded the arrangements made at the center, including smokeless food preparation facilities, electricity, and water supply, which contribute to providing enhanced pre-school education opportunities for the children. Furthermore, she acknowledged the commendable efforts of District Social Welfare Officer Shipra Sinha, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Sudha Verma, and the dedicated Sevikas and Sahiyas for their contributions towards the smooth functioning of the center. She emphasized the need to replicate such improvements and facilities in other Anganwadi centers, aiming to develop them as model centers as well.
