Seraikela, Nov 21: With assembly elections round the corner and for the second phase of polls slated for December 2 the Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration headed by DC Chandra Sekhar on Friday held a meeting with ASIA (Adityapur Small Industries Association) and other industrial houses to declare holiday on Dec 2 and help increase the voting percentage.
DC informed that on the orders of election commission all the workers of the industrial area will be given leave with pay.
Those who will not adhere strict action will be taken against them. At the meet officials of ASIA and other houses assured the DC that every single business house will give its worker leave with pay on December 2 and will also make people aware living near the industrial area.
DC also held a review meeting for the preparations of the polls with the administration officials on Friday. He informed that till date the 350 license holders have submitted their arms. Police in the district has also recovered 1 illegal arm, 3 explosives and 531 litres of liquor.
Chandra Sekhar added that the administration is fully prepared to hold transparent and free of fear. Later in a meet DC said that database of election officers has been prepared for were from 57-Kharsawan 875 officers, 51-Seraikela 1525 officers and 1300 officers from 50-Ichagarh.
Randomization process for 51-Seraikela and 57-Kharsawan has also been completed while for 50-Ichagarh the randomization will be done on November 26. At the meet several administration officials were present.
