Jamshedpur: In a significant push towards modernizing railway infrastructure in the Kolhan region, General Manager of South Eastern Railway (SER), Anil Kumar Mishra, conducted a detailed inspection of Tatanagar Railway Station as part of ongoing station redevelopment initiatives.
The visit coincided with the inauguration of the Multi-Disciplinary Divisional Training Institute (MDDTI) at Tatanagar. The newly inaugurated institute is expected to strengthen capacity building and skill development of railway personnel across multiple disciplines, enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery.

During the inspection, the GM reviewed progress on station redevelopment works, emphasizing improved passenger amenities, infrastructure upgrades, and overall modernization of the station. Officials present during the visit were directed to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
The inauguration of MDDTI marks a key step towards strengthening training infrastructure within the division, aligning with Indian Railways’ broader vision of modernization and workforce development.
The twin initiatives—station redevelopment and enhanced training facilities—are expected to significantly improve railway services and passenger experience in the region.
