Senior students teach juniors on teachers’ day at DAV Noamundi

Noamundi, Sept. 3 : Tata DAV Public School, Noamundi celebrated Teachers’ Day also observed to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great teacher, at the school premises on Saturday .

The Principal, teachers and students paid floral tribute to the portrait of Dr. Radhakrishnan. Several events were lined up for the occasion including songs and dance competition.

The students put up a scintillating dance and songs for their teachers�. Senior class students taught their junior students.

The Principal TK Mishra explained about the importance of teachers day saying that September 5 is observed as Teachers’ day to honour Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was a great teacher, academic philosopher and India’s Second President as he was born on the same day in 1888.

The Nation conferred on him the Bharat Ratna for his excellent contribution. Dr. Radhakrishnan has said that the teachers are nation�s highest brain.

The students also spoke on Dr. Radhakrishnan’s life and everybody pledged to follow his foot prints. Student Meheli Sinha and Saddam Hussain were awarded for best teaching on teachers day.
