Former students of Loyola School launch ‘Mast 77 Legacy Trust’

Jamshedpur: Former students of Loyola School of 1977 batch have joined hands to launch ‘Mast 77 Legacy Trust’ to contribute in the field of social service. School�s alumni  senior journalist Kanchan Gupta, vice president Tata Steel Sudhanshu Pathak, Amresh Sinha, senior manager, corporate communications, Tata Steel along with other several former students on Monday registered their trust.

� The former students of the school today are into corporate, leading doctors, scientists, businessmen. This is our small attempt to give back to the city which has given us so much,� said Gupta, while interacting with media at Centre for Excellence.

He said that they want to serve the society in whatever way possible. Right from empowering less privileged to spreading awareness steps will be taken in the society by the trust. Recollecting memories from the past, he said that his alma mater played a unique role in the success of the entire batch. Most of the 1977 batch students cracked engineering and medical exams.

�Students from the batch are keen to lend a helping hand and also catch up with old schoolmates, ex-teachers and Jesuits. We will soon come up with projects,� said Amresh Sinha, who is also trustee of the trust.

Talking about his experiences in the field of media, �Gupta said that authenticity of the news is very important as it has direct impact on the society.
