Senior journalist DNS Neeraj passes away

Jamshedpur, March 29: Senior journalist and former editor of various newspapers of Jamshedpur, Dhruvnarayan Singh Neeraj breathed his last on Sunday, March 29.

He was 58. His last rites were performed on Sunday evening at Subarnarekha Burning Ghat in Bhuiyadih.

Resident of Gadabasa Cable Basti, Neeraj died on way to the hospital after suffering heart attack were the doctors at TMH declared him brought dead.

During his last rites people for several political and social organizations along with number of media persons were present. Neeraj left behind his wife, son and daughter.

Neeraj started his career with Prabhat Khabar in 1980 and was counted among witty and intelligent journalist. He served as an editor in Jamshedpur�s Prabhat Khabar, Ispat Mail, New Ispat Mail and Utkal Mail while he held senior position in several Hindi dailies including Aaj, Uditvani and Hindustan.

He also contributed in several educational institutes of Jamshedpur including Jamshedpur Workers College, Graduate College, KMPM College and Gurunanak Inter College.

Along with this Neeraj had also written several books in Hindi. Press Club of Jamshedpur expressing grief over demise of senior journalist said, sudden demise of DNS Neeraj has left a void which difficult to fill.
