Jamshedpur, June 15: The Bharat Bandh called by Adivasi Sengel Abhiyan on Thursday for the seven-point demands remained ineffective in Jamshedpur.
In Karandih, a rural area adjacent to the city, Sengel workers under the leadership of Central Sengel convenor Bimo Murmu, Kolhan Zone Sengel Pargana Sitaram Majhi demonstrated and blocked the road. Due to which the main road remained jammed for around two hours. Due to which big vehicles remained stranded. While small vehicles kept coming and going through other routes. After getting the information about Karandih Chowk being jammed, the Parsudih police team along with the force reached the spot.
The police removed the agitators from the road after persuading them. However, during this, there was a partial debate with the road blockers of the police before the agitators agreed to move out.
