Jamshedpur : A seminar was organised at Graduate School College for Women, Sakchi for NUSSD ( National University Students Skill Developemnt) students on justice upon eve teasing, child abuse, undermarriage, witch craft.
In NUSSD ,students are getting employability skill & community Development skills like English communication ,Digital Literacy ,Financial Literacy, working with community, youth leadership& peoples skill and legal literacy.
Recently after completing most of the courses we started legal literacy. To get practical exposure about legal institutions and legal aid services this seminar was conducted with the help of DLSA.
Mr.Pradeep Gupta ,Senior Program office from TISS,Mumbai has conducted this seminar in which 250 to 300 NUSSD students participated from Jamshedpur womens college and Graduate school college for womens. A mobile court van was sent from DLSA to give practical exposure of Indian court and legal insitutions.
Dilip Jaiswal talked about legal aid services which is being provided by DLSA and how they serve in the villages and freed the poor from the financial challenges and how they assist a poor man to access justice.
He addressed students about what the court contains and the role of every person working in that court. He also told us how they functioned in the villages by having video conferences from the expertise.
