Ranchi, Jan. 7: Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba directed all the DCs to select land for building women and model colleges by January 15.
He said that for the repair of dysfunctional hand pumps in the districts, Rs. 50 cr will be allotted by the State Disaster Management department. He said it while reviewing the implementation of different govt. projects through video conferencing.
The CS directed the DCs that the toilet construction must be completed by March 31. Reviewing the problems of open defecation in 256 panchayats of the state, the CS directed to speed up the scheme and complete the work in time frame.
He directed the MGNAREGA Commissioner to submit weekly report of the panchayats where work is not progressing in time frame. He directed to all municipal bodies also to identify land for solid waste management.
The CS directed all DCs to send proposal to the department to sort out scarcity of water. He said that a list of dysfunctional hand pumps in the districts should be made and tankers should be maintained.
In order to pay compensation to the farmers on time, the CS said that the DCs should inspect harvest and send the report to the department by 15th Jan. In case of 33% damage to the crops, the state govt. will pay for it.
He directed all DCs to hold meeting with DDMC and give the responsibility to Additional Collectors and BDOs to find out data of affected people.
The CS directed the DCs to ensure opening of bank account of all students of class 1 to 5. He said that about 25 lakh bank accounts for the students should be opened by January 25 and fake degree holder teachers should be sacked by 31st Jan.
While reviewing the PDS, Mr. Gauba directed the DCs to ensure distribution of ration cards in all districts. He said that procurement system should be speedily implemented and applications received for social amenities should be enlisted on portal. He told them to complete seeding work also.
He said that the govt. has to put its report card on the floor before the budget. Hence the implementation should reciprocate with the promises made by the govt.
