Jamshedpur: In a significant pre-Lok Sabha Election operation, security forces successfully disrupted a potential terror threat by uncovering and neutralizing 10 Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bombs, weighing a total of 12 kilograms. The dangerous cache was strategically planted by the banned extremist group CPI (Maoists) in the dense forest of Tonto, Goeilkera, Chaibasa, West Singhbhum District.

During a meticulous Search Operation on Wednesday, March 13, Security Forces acted swiftly, preventing a potential disaster ahead of the upcoming elections. Speaking on the operation, an official stated, “The recovery of these IEDs is a testament to the dedication and vigilance of our forces in safeguarding the democratic process and public safety.”

Security personnel on the ground faced challenging conditions in the dense forest but managed to locate and safely neutralize the explosive devices. He emphasized the collaborative effort, stating, “Our team’s coordination and expertise played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the public and maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.”
Authorities are actively investigating the incident to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attempted act of terrorism. The recovery underscores the persistent challenges posed by extremist groups, emphasizing the ongoing commitment of Security Forces to protect the nation from potential threats.
