Jamshedpur, April 30: In a major operation, the police have destroyed a Naxal camp that was being operated in a remote forest area in West Singhbhum on Sunday morning. The operation was carried out by a joint team of police personnel and CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) troops.

The security forces demolished the camp of Naxalites on Sunday near Ambia village under the highly Naxal Goilkera police station area of the district.
According to sources, the camp was located in a dense forest area and was being used as a base by the Naxals to carry out their activities. The police received a tip-off about the presence of the camp and immediately launched an operation to neutralize the threat.

The operation was carried out in a swift and efficient manner, with the police personnel and CRPF troops coordinating their efforts to ensure maximum impact. The Naxals, who were caught off guard, put up a brief resistance, but were soon overpowered by the security forces.
During the operation, a large cache of explosives like detonators were recovered from the camp, along with other incriminating material. The police have launched an investigation into the matter and are trying to identify the individuals responsible for running the camp.

Speaking to the media, a senior police official said, “This is a major success for our security forces. The destruction of this camp will go a long way in disrupting the activities of the Naxals in the area. We will continue to take strong action against anyone who threatens the security of our citizens.”

In view of increased activities of Maoists, Chaibasa police are running a continuous campaign against Naxalites since last 11th January. During this, police personnel are also getting success. Teams of Chaibasa Police, Cobra 209 Battalion, 203 Battalion, 205 Battalion, Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF 60, 197, 157, 174, 193, 07 and CRPF 26 battalions are included in this campaign.
A joint operation team of these jawans has been constituted and the operation is being carried out continuously.
Top leaders of CPI Maoist Naxalite organization Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahto, Sagen Angaria, Ashwin along with their squad members are roaming in Kolhan area for subversive activity.
The operation has been widely praised by political leaders and citizens alike, who have hailed it as a major victory in the fight against Naxalism. Many have also expressed their gratitude to the security forces for their bravery and dedication in protecting the region.
