Section 144 imposed near Jamshedpur Collectorate

Jamshedpur, March 27: In view of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the district administration has imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) 50 meters across district headquarters. In a communiqué issued by SDO Nitish Kumar Singh it has been stated that the assembly of five or more people in an area is prohibited. Moreover, organisations have been prohibited from carrying out demonstrations near the DC office.

“In view of rising cases in the city we have taken the decision. We have been asked to follow the guidelines strictly. We fear that any negligence may further lead to rise in cases. The administration is not going to give any further relaxation.  Those who will move on the road without masks will be prosecuted,” said the official.

With the Coronavirus positive cases under control in the East Singhbhum district, the district health department are carrying out a massive  drive of sample tests for the killer virus.
