Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration has planned to execute all seven flagship schemes of the Central government in the 277 villages of the district by 15th August this year. This was announced on Monday by the Deputy Commissioner, Amit Kumar, during the inauguration of the second phase of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in East Singhbhum. The second phase kicked off on 1st June last.
In the first phase of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, Harina village of Potka was selected for the execution of the seven flagship schemes of the Central government. The campaign was completed successfully in 21 days. The seven schemes include Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, Ujala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jyoti Beema Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojana and Mission Indradhanush.
Also present on the occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) B Maheshwari said the construction materials to be used in toilet construction should be sent to the sites within a week. He said the Baharagora and Chakulia blocks should be declared open defecation free (ODF) by 30th June this year.
The event was also attended by ADC Saurabh Kumar Sinha, district supply officer Bindeshwari Tatma, ADC Subodh Kumar, BDOs, COs, executive engineers and other officials.
