Second culprit arrested in Sonari gang-rape case

Jamshedpur, Sept. 23: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested second culprit Amit Sao in the Sonari gang rape case. The first culprit has already been arrested. On September 16 when the girl was returning back to her home from Joggers Park with her male friend couple of boys abducted the girl and gang raped her. 

As the news came into light, City SP Subhash Chandra Jat along with DSP Kadma Police Station and Sonari Police Station rushed to the spot. After an hour the minor was spotted near Sonari electric substation around 100 meters from the park. Police said the girl in her complaint alleged that she had gone to the park with her friend. When she was returning with the boy, two unidentified boys waylaid them. They beat up the boy accompanying her and dragged her to the nearby temple compound.
