Jamshedpur, Oct 14: SDO Dhalbhum Nitish Kumar Singh has imposed Sec 144 of the IPC within a radius of 50 meters around the District Collectorate (DC Office) in Jamshedpur. Singh said that it had become an almost regular feature to see political organizations, their leaders and other people organizing protest rallies, protests and meetings at the Office and coming in mass delegations to hand protest notes and other demand notices in stark violation of COVID-19 protocols thereby creating grave health hazards. He said that in view of such conditions, restrictions have been imposed with immediate effect so that not more than five persons while maintaining a minimum of six feet distance among one another would be allowed to enter within 50 yards radius of the office.
With Sec 144 imposed at the District Collectorate Office the following norms have come into effect: More thatn five persons will be prohibited from entering the office precincts within the 60 meter radius and no groups or crowds will be formed there. no person without mask or face cover will be allowed to enter. The persons coming in will have to maintain a minimum distance of six feet between them. Processions, violent demonstrations, jamming roads or burning effigies have been prohibited. Carrying of arms, rods and sticks, bows and arrows, spears, harpoons, swords, daggers and other variants of lethal weapons will not be allowed. Use of loudspeakers or other sound enhancing modes will not be allowed without the prior permission of a competent authority. The prohibitory orders forbid any organization or political party to organize meetings, processions or protest rallies or five or more persons.
Violation of the prohibitory orders will attract penalties and action under IPS (1860) Secs 188, 269, 270, 271 and Disaster management Act (2005) Secs 51 to 60.
