Jamshedpur, Feb 15: SDSM School for Excellence organised graduation ceremony for the outgoing batch of Std XII on Tuesday.
The ceremony consisted of awarding of certificates and batch souvenirs to all the students. The school has instituted various categories of awards to recognize holistic development of students:
The Principal’s Award was bagged by Sameer Kumar, Siddharth Suman, Mrinmoy Mahato, Harsh Ranjan and Vishal Bobonga.
Special Awards were won by Piyush Jaiswal, Anushya Rai, Saloni Sona, Stuti Kumari and Prem Kumar.
This was followed by experience sharing by students. Several students walked down the memory lane by teachers. Teachers blessed and wished them the best in life. Students expressed their profound feelings on this solemn occasion.
B Chandrashekhar (Chairman, Dakshin Bharat Mahila Samajam) addressed the graduating students and advised the students to embrace the challenges of life with ethics and imbibed knowledge and emerge victorious in every field.
Lalita Chandrashekhar (Chairperson, Dakshin Bharat Mahila Samajam) said that the education system should not be based on the marks scored by the students, it should be the innovation and employment as well as entrepreneurship oriented.
Principal Moushumi Das thanked the parents for their cooperation, students to understand the value and values, belief in self, action of gratitude and have the leadership in action. She stressed on 5 P’s of life i.e. Principle, Proactive, Patience, Productive and Positivity.
The Graduation Ceremony culminated in a candle lighting ceremony which was lit by students and respective class teachers. It was an emotional moment for students who were bidding goodbye to their school after having spent their fourteen years budding from childhood to socially young responsible adults.
