Jamshedpur: The sub divisional officer of Dhalbhum Prem Ranjan today held a meeting with the special officers of the civic bodies of the city to discuss preparations for the upcoming festival.
In the meeting, it was decided to ban the entry of akhara procession participants at the Kapali Ghat since the venue was declared as dangerous.
Other ghats will be used for the purpose of allowing entry of akhara committee members on the occasion of Ramnavami, the SDO said.
The meeting was attended by the special officers of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Mango Notified Area Committee and Jugsalai Municipality.
