Jamshedpur: Laying stress on the timely implementation of various development and welfare schemes, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that the economic condition of the people living under poverty should be improved.
�The formation of State Development Council was done with the idea of preparing 15 year vision, five or seven year strategy and 3 year action plan. Small and long term schemes should be made and implemented. The government will work on one day action plan which will determine road construction and electrification per day.
It is required for timely implementation of the plans. In order to succeed in our endeavours, we should know our drawbacks and step ahead in right direction,� said the CM while addressing the maiden meeting of the State Development Council.
Das said that a sub-committee of State Development Council will be formed which will prepare the roadmap of three years. �The committee will fix target and suggest how to implement them. The officers should do field work and do spot verification,� he said.
Laying stress on strengthening agriculture with animal husbandry, gardening, sericulture and fisheries, the CM said that the people should be connected with it and their lives can be improved. �Sakhi mandals are being given Rs 4 lakh and connected with poultry.
The eggs of the poultry will be sold in the nearby schools. With a view to bring about White Revolution, 50 cows are being given on subsidy. The list of BPL families is being prepared. A total of 300 ponds having 3 to 5 acre areas will be rejuvenated. Small and cottage industries are promoted.
Separate boards are being made for cottage, small, lac and silk industries. A separate budget will be introduced for schedule castes and tribes. All schemes pertain to economic strengthening of the people,� he said.
Deputy Chairperson of the Council Surjit Singh Bhalla, an economist, said that the focus will be on agriculture, education and development.
Apart from Ministers, CS Raj Bala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, Principal Sec to CM Sanjay Kumar and other officers were present on this occasion.
