Mail News Service Jamshedpur, August 9: A symbolic rally was organized by Breakthrough Science Society of Jamshedpur to propagate the inculcation of scientific thinking for ushering in development at all levels. Apart from discovering new scientific horizons, science would eradicate negative beliefs like superstition and sorcery. The symbolic rally that commenced from Putlupung culminated in a meeting at Chakri Morh. The meeting was anchored by Ujjwal Kumar Mandal, member of Breakthrough Science Society. School teacher Arvind Tiwari, while highlighting the purpose of the campaign, said, “Without scientific thinking, the development of human civilization is not possible. Today many unscientific methods are being applied and practiced even by the science teachers that are a curse for science.” Retired teacher Ranjit Sardar said, “Science has an important role in the evolution of every living being.” Lakhan Chandra Mandal, president of the Kisan Samiti, emphasized on the scientific method of farming. The vote of thanks was offered by retired teacher Asutosh Mandal. Jaihari Singh Munda, Dilip Mandal, Debasish, Chandrakala Munda, Arup Kumar, Khelaram Mahali, retired teacher Ranjit Sardar, Girish Mandal, Utpal Mandal, Reela Sardar, Anil Bodra and others were present in the rally.
